Anatomy of A Grand Piano at Lorraine's Piano Academy in Ferndale, WA. During this free 1-hour class, we will look inside a grand piano to discover how its 10,000 parts work together to create beautiful sound. You'll learn about the history of its invention, some of the very unusual pianos built, and the transformation into the instrument we know today. Attendees will have the opportunity for a short mini-lesson to learn how to incorporate advanced techniques into their playing. Looking to buy a piano? Learn what to look for, and what to avoid, so you don't haul home a lemon! Purchasing information from private parties, local stores and dealers may be available. Interested in piano lessons? Learn how to find the right piano teacher for your needs. Information will be available about the variety of in-studio classes and online programs for ages 3 years through adult, from casual hobbyist to dedicated performer. Every student’s musical experience is tailored to their preferences, all while developing world-class conservatory technique. If you plan to attend, please make reservations for the total number of guests, as space is extremely limited! Please Note: *Young children who will be sitting on a lap do not need to be counted towards the total number of guests. **Directions to the studio will be included in your confirmation email. |
